How cloud-save data is used

Setup in progress. Google Drive saves are being prepared for the private game. This page describes the connection when enabled; it does not grant access to the game or any save.

This connection supports the private GPT Links game. It uses Google identity and the limited Drive file permission to save and retrieve your game records.

What is connected

Google supplies your verified email address and account identifier so the save service can match your Google account to your private game sign-in. The game requests access to files created by, or explicitly opened with, this application. Its save service restricts operations to registered game data. It does not request access to your whole Drive.

Where information is stored

Google Drive holds your saved checkpoints, complete retained game histories, indexes, original migration copies and recovery records. Your browser keeps local progress, pending work and a cache for resuming play. A separate private Cloudflare save service processes save contents for transfer and verification, keeps revision and device-control metadata, and stores Google connection credentials encrypted at rest.

Cloudflare and Google provide their respective hosting and storage services. Game records are not end-to-end encrypted against the save service, which must read them to verify transfers. The save service does not sell this information or send save contents to AI or speech providers. Connecting cloud saves does not itself start commentary.

When the game’s separate Broadcast feature is On, selected player, course, shot and scoring facts may be processed by its configured AI and speech providers through the private broadcast service. Its existing On/Off choices and spending controls remain in effect. The Google connection does not supply provider credentials or change those controls.

Private ownership

Each approved player uses their own Google account and separate save namespace. Connecting one player’s account does not share that player’s Drive or careers with another player. Existing private game sign-in remains required. This connection does not change Drive sharing permissions.

Disconnecting and recovery

Disconnect stops synchronization and asks Google to revoke the retained connection. If Google cannot confirm revocation, the service retains an encrypted revocation request solely to finish disconnecting. You can also revoke the app from your Google Account. Disconnecting does not delete your Drive files, original saves or pending device copies.

Original migration copies and historical records remain retained. Removing an account connection is separate from deleting its game records. Keep an independent complete backup before clearing browser data or removing Drive files. Deleting or changing files directly in Drive can prevent a save from being opened.
